At the Trauma and PTSD Healing Center, we understand how severely your life can be impacted by your trauma and how lonely this experience can be, especially if other people in your life don't understand you or invalidate your experiences.

You didn't ask for this. You are not being "too sensitive." Your pain is real and valid and we believe you.

We honor and value your personal truths and stand by you. We work tirelessly to become your sidekick and support you on your personal hero's journey. You don't have to do this alone.

What is PTSD?

Post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) is a disorder that develops in some people who have experienced a traumatic, shocking, or dangerous event.

Although some people develop PTSD in response to a single traumatic event, such as a sudden loss of a loved one, car accident, or an assault, other people can develop complex PTSD (cPTSD) after multiple traumatic events.

Who can develop cPTSD?

  • People who were exposed to many instances of child abuse, including emotional abuse, physical abuse, and/or sexual abuse.
  • People who experience prejudice or discrimination
  • People who have been abandoned or invalidated
  • Immigrants
  • Descendants of trauma survivors
  • People with chronic illness
  • And people many other situations in which you felt emotionally or physically unsafe

What is the Trauma & PTSD Healing Center?

The Trauma and PTSD Healing Center offers virtual therapy for clients in California and Nevada. Our psychologists are trauma specialists, which means that this is all that we do—we treat trauma every day, so we know a lot about it.

We do not believe in the "cookie cutter" approach. We believe in tailoring the treatment around YOUR needs, your schedule, and within your abilities.

Trauma might not always present itself as a list of PTSD symptoms. Some people who experienced trauma might start having panic attacks, OCD symptoms, insomnia, or depression many years after the traumatic event(s) occurred. Some people develop migraines, fibromyalgia, or other chronic pain disorders. And in some instances, these symptoms can be the result of untreated trauma.

Our goal is to help you learn ways to develop emotional safety, where you can feel safe and supported in almost any environment, as well as to empower you and help you develop a sense of your authentic self, without feeling held back by your symptoms.

Above all, please know that your experiences and your feelings are valid. Nobody else gets to define your truth, only you get to do that.

Whether it is with our clinic or through another resource, we hope that you receive the help that you need. You are worth it. And you matter.
